An increasing generation of trans-national couples, often residing in a third host culture, is faced with their kids growing up multilingual. This blog aims at monitoring the language development of kids from parents of different nationalities and understand their cultural/emotional affiliation.

It's Carnival time!
Check out the multilingual blogging carnival, a monthly get-together for all interested in bilingualism and in raising bilingual children and an opportunity to share experiences, info and best practices.
This isn't necessarily "Relevant" to your blog, but I just have to ask... how are your boys names pronounced?
Milo= Me Low or My Low
Zeno= Zee-know or Zay-know, or something else?
I love your blog, but I've always been too shy to comment or ask (I discovered it March of 2009 and read the whole back log in like 2 days time during class)
Hi there, thank you for your touching message! I find your question VERY relevant because we pronounce them mee-lo and zay-no but Anglophone friends have a tendency to pronounce them the other way! I think I'll write a post on this...thanks for the compliments, it's very flattering! Good luck on your studies and ambitions in 2010!
